Forgotten item in coin locker 2023/10/14 09:55
I rented a coin locker for a day, got my bag out but I forgot my sweater. I forgot it at Tokyo station. I also have the receipt and the exact locker it was left in.

I just tried going to Tokyo station but was given the run around. I went to 3 different counters and a helpful lady made a phone call to translate for me but no luck.

I am in Tokyo for 1 more day but I will be back here for another 2 days at the end of my trip.

Anyone know which office I should go to?

Thanks!

If you have an email address, you can also contact us through the lost and found chat.
https://lost.jreast-chat.com/
It is possible that the information was not registered in the system at the time of the inquiry. In that case, it cannot be searched by the system.
If a number of days have passed, you may be able to search for information.
By the way, the lost and found counter at Tokyo Station is located near the Nihonbashi exit on the 1st floor.

My understanding is that the lost and found items end up at a JR facility in Itabashi - could be wrong, but one of my staff managed to retrieve an item left on a train and the item was sent there (a phone, but it was covered by insurance anyway). For a sweater, sounds like you would be spending more time retrieving it than it is likely worth.

By the way, if your item is reported as a lost item to the Tokyo police, you can search for it here.
