Spacia X Reservations: Sold out immediately?

Hi all, I've been planning to purchase seat reservations for the Spacia X to and from Nikko for a 1-day trip.
Mainly, I've wanted to make a reservation for:
Nikko-bound: Compartment Seat
Tokyo-bound: Box Seat
The reservation system online comes back from maintenance at 04:50 JST, so once it opened up the day I wanted to reserve for opened up. I went immediately through the form and as soon as the Spacia X trains showed up, only Standard and Premium seats were somewhat available. Everything else was already marked "X" or sold out.
Am I missing something or do those seats pop up at a later time? (One linked site says the reservations open up at 9:00am JST, but that's five hours after the site goes live from maintenance). Or are the seats literally selling out due to people/bots immediately?
