hokuriku arc pass

I'm planning to travel tokyo-kyoto-nara-osaka-tokyo, starting from Tokyo next week, but it doesn't make sense to buy a JR pass. I'm thinking of buying the Hokuriku Arc Pass instead, but I think you can go to Osaka region with a connection from Kanazawa. Can anyone help with this, knowing how long the average trip takes? How long does the journey take with a transfer?

Google maps wil tell you how long the trip takes. But best course of action is to just buy a regular Shinkansen ticket from Tokyo to Osaka.

Yes, you can go from Tokyo to Kansai on the Hokuriku Arch Pass. It would pay off with a round trip, and Kanazawa is a nice city to visit. But it also would take an extra couple of hours compared with the Tokaido Route, and you have to return the same way, taking another extra couple of hours.
