One way car rental during Golden Week 2024

Can I rent a car more than 3 months in advance? I want to pick up a car in Nagano and drop it off about a week later in either Takayama or Kanazawa. When I try to reserve a car, nothing happens. Are they all reserved already or is there a time limit?? Thanks.
