Travel to Japan with COE pending

Hi Guys,

I currently have a COE Pending and I was planning on traveling to Japan for about 14 days to visit my partner with a return ticket.

Would this look suspicious to immigration once I arrive in Tokyo?
I inquired with the Consulate and they said they cannot for sure say since they are not immigration.

Any insight would be appreciated.

Shouldn�ft be a problem. I was in Japan on a tourist visa while my husband applied for our COE. I just returned back home for a few days to pickup the dependent visa and then came back to Japan
