Purchase JR West all area pass in Osaka

I'm considering buying this JR west pass in Osaka, and not online. I'm concerned about the exchange procedure. Also I prefer to buy in JPY, rather than online thoruogh my credit card. I understand I should avoid buying same at the airport due to possible waiting time. I assume that if I buy same at a JR station within Osaka there should only be limited waiting time outside peak hours, say 10.00 AM. And also that the purchase process is smooth and not time consuming.

Are my assumptions correct?

JR West does not sell the pass at its offices anymore. You need to get it online, or buy an exchange order at a travel agency before your departure.

I may have misunderstood your question, but as far as I see from JR-west official page,

you have to buy the pass before coming to Japan. You can exchange the pass (or order) to the real pass, you can choose from many stations though.

Do you mean by cash? That's not possible, that pass is only sold online.
