Buying Shinkansen tickets online in US

I am trying to buy reserved Shinkansen tickets online for a party of 5 during cherry blossom season from Tokyo to Toyama RT and then Tokyo to Osaka as well. However, I can't register on Smart Ex because the credit card can't be verified. Can someone suggest a different website to buy these tickets ? We want to make sure that we are sitting together. Thank you.
