Dear visitor, if you know the answer to this question, please post it. Thank you!

Kansai-Wide Area Pass end 2024/3/9 14:33
Good day,

I am a foreigner living in Japan on a one-year visa.
Regarding train passes, the JR West, Kansai Wide Area pass is the only one that is available to foreign residents (the others require a "temporary visitor" stamp on your passport)

On the relevant page. Japan-guide.com states that this pass will not be offered after March, 2024.
Could you please tell me where else I could see this information? So far I haven't been able to confirm. I called JR West and they told me that "the end of this ticket has not yet been decided".

If indeed the pass will no longer be sold after March, is it possible to purchase it in March but use it in April?

Thank you kindly for your time.

Yes, I think it would probably be possible. You should check with the website you buy it through, as stated by the official website, which states: Conditions of use for an exchange order are stipulated by regulations and contracts of issuing companies.

The Kansai Wide Area pass is only available to temporary visitors

The Kansai Wide Area "Excursion" pass is available to foreign residents

Didn't find any information about this ending in March 2024 on the official website though.
