Ishigaki vs Miyako

We, a couple, have been to Ishigaki twice. With our son of 5, we thought of going to Miyako or Kerama (or Amami Oshima?) Can anyone point out the main differences, especially which one would be more interesting to children? We do not have a car but are used to plan bus/taxi trips, we have been to Japan six times already (or 7?)
