New Year�fs Eve travel

I�fm thinking of travelling to Lake Kawaguchiko on the 31st of December from Shinjuku station. Will I have a problem with buses and train transport travelling at this time?

December 31 is generally not a particularly busy travel day. Most people complete their outwards trips on December 28-30.

Many transportation companies apply their weekend timetables on December 31.

I'm not detailed on transportation toward that direction, and I don't think there would be too many people doing homecoming there, but wouldn't trains be crowded with people heading for the Fujikyu Highland Countdown event?
