Dress code in sushi restaurant

Hi,
I booked a table in Sushi itsumi in Akasaka, I don't think it's a superhigh end sushi omakase restaurant like Saito or Sukibayashi to name two. I'm a bit concerned about dressing code as I'm going in summer, so do you think I can get in with a pair of sneakers, t-shirt and shorts considering the hot and humid japanese summer?
What do you think?

Generally speaking, you're not going to find many restaurants you will just randomly walk into that require some sort of formal dress code. You should be fine with what you're wearing for summer clothing.

I haven't heard any sushi restaurant requiring the dress code. Actually, dress codes are not popular in Japan, except for special occasions such as weddings. Only be careful to perfume. Smell could bother other customers especially in a sushi restaurant.

Most restaurants in Japan don't have "dress codes", but at a lot of places, there are certain clothes you look better in.
For example, I checked a few restaurants I know of where you wouldn't really look good in beach sandals, and would look nice in a suit instead, but the Ikkyu website mentioned "no dress code". Quite often, dress codes simply aren't mentioned because you don't expect people to come to that area in beach wear.
That said, if you wear a neat short-sleeve shirt, neat shorts and clean sneakers, I'm sure you'd look fine enough at Itsumi. It's a business area, so most people wearing shorts would be tourists.
