If it's a public place, you can take photos all you want. When it comes to private property, you need to get permission from the owner. Have you checked online through any websites of the places that you're trying to take wedding photos at?

Even if its in a public place please be respectful, mindful and considerate to others. We were recently at the stunning Choshi waterfall on the Oirase stream (Aomori) and there were some newlyweds with a photographer and assistant taking photographs immediately in front of the waterfall - they were American or Canadian. They had jumped the fence to access closer to the waterfall and were monopolising all the stunning views/photo angles from everybody else wanting to enjoy the serenity and waterfall. The Japanese were too polite to say anything so after 20 minutes I just couldn't help myself and raised my voice at them to 'come on now wind it up, move on and think of others!' To their surprise and embarrassment they finished up quickly as everyone gave them the stinkeye.

I can't comment on the legality of this - but I can say that you might need multiple days to get the shot that you want - since weather can be very temperamental around Mt Fuji. The best views of Mt Fuji I had were from a boat on Lake Kawaguchi. Not sure if that comment helps - but it's something to consider.
