Ruriko in temple reservation - when do I pay? 2024/10/31 07:16
Hi, I was able to make a reservation at the Ruriko-in Temple for my upcoming Japan trip in Nov. However, I think the website only for booking a time slot, and it didn't ask me to pay.. My question is when do I pay for my ticket? Do I pay when I am there at the entrance?

Any tip or info would be really appreciated! Thanks =)

good morning

the objective of the reservation system is for crowd control
since there is only one single reflective table which is constantly
surrounded by visitors

as long as you arrive during your reservation time slot for entry that should be fine
if you arrive too early before or too late after the reservation session ends
then it will be subject to the discretionary of the staff and capacity at the time

have a wonderful trip~

You are right.
Something seems to be wrong with the website.

I paid at the entrance. There was a very long line of people trying to get in, and I went in spring - autumn is even more crowded. But it's a wonderful place.
