Ueno ABAB alternatives?

One of the highlights for my wife whenever we visit Tokyo is visiting ABAB in Ueno, as she was able to buy a lot of good quality clothings/shoes/accessories. Sad to just learn that they are permanently closed. :(
Anyone know if that building will be replaced by something else similar? And in general, are there other similar buildings to ABAB, either in Ueno or Tokyo? We are not interested in traditional department stores because they tend to be more pricy. Thanks!
