Hi, We're visiting Japan in April next year. Staying in Kawaguchiko for a couple of days then need to get on to Kyoto. Google maps is suggesting taking a bus from Kawaguchiko to Mishima then getting on the Shinkansen to Kyoto. I have found a listing for the bus on here, https://www.japan-guide.com/bus/gotemba.html and the 0955 morning bus looks to be a good for us, I was just wondering if there were any restrictions on luggage size that we can bring with us, there will be 4 of us (two adults and two children) with four suitcases. I can see the bus is operated by Fujikyu but I can't find any English language guidance on their website that mentions luggage. If we reserve a ticket do you think we'll be ok or do I need to look at alternative luggage transport? Thanks Rich

good morning the official website for 河口湖〜三島線(特急 三島・河口湖ライナー) states the restriction of 1 luggage per person for the 車両トランク bus trunk but does not specify the size https://bus.fujikyu.co.jp/highway/detail/id/29however it mentions that in case if the bus trunk is full passengers would not be able to bring their luggage to the seat on bus good news is handcarry size upto 0.027m3 and under 10kg can be taken on bus (without using the trunk) have a wonderful trip~

Japan has the most wonderful luggage transport service https://www.japan-guide.com/e/e2278.htmlYour hotel prior to Kawaguchiko can organise that for you, sending it to Kyoto. Then live out of the generous allowance for carry on for those few days. It really does make life so much easier.
