I've graduated a 4 years course in the Philippines in Bachelor of Liberal Ats Major in Literature.I have all the documents as Diploma,Transcript of records and other certificates. In the present i am in Kyoto Japan working in a manufacturing industry as a machine operator for almost 3 years now under the Specific Skilled Worker Visa. Having an agreement in the company to work for 5 years but in a yearly renewal of residence and visa. How can i change my visa status From SSWV to Humanities Visa? Where can i consult about the procedures? Is there a possibility of conflict to happen if i change my SSWV within 3 years to Humanities Visa ? im just asking because SSWV is for 5 years contract . thankyou guys

@Archie
You don't have to worry about changing your visa status, just keep your current job. You have been employed for 3 years now. IF you are a highly qualified professional, you can apply for permanent residency NOW. If not, it will be 5 years which is about in 2 years since you have already been working for 3 years. So find a lawyer - Gyosesishoshi - ask FIRST before you do anything ,if they say it looks good add up your points and also check if your university is one of the recognized universities on the immigration list. Add up all the points and apply for permanent residency. You are done... also, changing your visa status in Japan to Humanities/International Services may result in immigration checks and cause a conflict with the immigration office if you do not meet the requirements.
Contact a decent Gyoseishoshi you know or one you like
I heard Daichisogo-law, a major company is good and maybe they would help you out in no time.
Good luck
