From Morioka to Jodogahama/Kitayamazaki Taxi?

hello,

is it possible to get from morioka to miyako station by train and then take a taxi there to yodogahama beach? then afterwards take the train to tanohata station and taxi to kitayamazaki coast?

how much would a taxi ride be and are there taxis available at each station or do we need to book in advance?

Miyako is a relatively large station, there are taxis available there. Also seems there is an hourly bus. I�fd make your arrangements for a return trip with the taxi driver if you take a taxi.

The Sanriku Railway is great. You can definitely catch a train from Miyako to Tanohata, but it�fs pretty small. It looks like there are often taxis there but it�fs more likely you might have to wait. You might be better to go to Fudai, the next station, which has an adjacent information centre where they can probably help you organise a taxi if there is not one already there.

It looks like there are also occasional buses from both these stations to where you want to go.

Carefully check the train timetable as there are some long gaps during the day.

I allow Y1000 per kilometre for taxis and then am generally pleasantly surprised by the actual fare.

I did it by rental car, and if you're going there, I suggest you do the same.
The taxi fare would be insane.
