Takayama to Magome transport

Hi

I am travelling around Japan and i want to do the Magome-Tsumago hike trail

I will be travelling from Takayama to Magome, and then, from Tsumago to Nagoya. What is the best combination i should choose?

I have seen the bus from Takayama to Magome takes 3 hours, but i also heard after covid, this was no longer in operation
