Ogijima + Megijima Questions

During mid/late April, I'll be making my way to potentially both Megijima and Ogijima for the Day (probably April 21st). As such - I've got a couple of questions.

(1) Do you think it's possible to visit both locations in 1 day
(2) Does anyone know if anyone of the Setouchi paid artworks will be open (the official website basically states all apart from the cave is closed)
(3) Has anyone parked a car near Takamatsu station before? I've hired a car to drive around Shikoku - but prefer public transport when it's going into major cities. If anyone has suggestions on satelite stations where parking is potentially less expensive - that would be great.

As always - any specific info would be much appreciated.

You can definitely do it in one day, but I think it would feel rushed. We did it over two days and the pace was very relaxed. In January most everything was closed, but talking to the cafe staff it seemed that summer and Sakura were there busy periods. No idea about parking, sorry.

If you were to choose only 1 island, which would you choose?

As I'm staying in a Ryokan with bf and dinner which is a fair drive from Takamatsu, doing both now feels rushed.

I've also worked out parking, it will just be slightly expensive

I would go to Megijima. I especially enjoyed the cave for its mix of kitsch, art, archaeology and nature.

When we went everyone else on the bus went to the cave first so Ifd advise go to the lookout first and then do a full circuit to come back to the cave (you will pass the cave exit first).
