Need advance reservations to Hirosaki?

We are planning to visit Aomori on the weekend before Golden Week and we was wondering if we need to make advance train reservations from Aomori to Hirosaki castle and back to Aomori in the evening? We�fre not sure so we would like to ask when are the busy times for this train going to and coming from Hirosaki going back to Aomori? Please advise. Thank you

No. Most trains between the two cities do not even allow for seat reservations. Only the handful of limited express trains do, but these too have unreserved seating. If you do wish to make seat reservations for these limited express trains during the peak of the cherry blossom seasons, it is probably a good idea to make them as early as possible.

During the peak of the season you can expect the trains to Hirosaki to be well used through the day. Chances are hight you will have to stand. But it is only about 45 minutes.
