Taxi cost

Dear,

I want the travel from Hakone to Kawaguchiko by taxi in the morning. I'm looking after a taxi company and a price.
Any other idea for traveling to Kawaguchiko is welcome.

The cost depends on the place in Hakone you will be departing from. It is a spacious town. It will likely cost between 25,000 and 30,000 yen. And I would not expect major cost differences between companies.

Thanks for your information. I have search after some extra info in the web. On the web page of Hakone Tozan Taxi :

there is hourly rate, every 30 minutes 3630 Yen.
Kawaguchico is worst case 1,5 hour driving, I would expect around 11000Yen.

Is this correct ?

Hourly "tour" rates are generally based on you (and more importantly, your taxi driver) returning to your starting point. If you wanted to go only one way on a hourly fee, you would also theoretically have to pay the return trip for your driver, so it would be 3 hours, and not 1.5 hours.

I used a taxi fare calculator and it gave me 25,000 yen.
