Tashirojima Island Food

Looking to do a trip to the Island and stay overnight in the Manga hotel but wanting to check based on the post whether there is the ability to buy food (potentially within the hotel even) or if one should pack food with them for the overnight trip (obviously taking any rubbish with them from the island)

As long as there are people living on the island, I'm sure that food is available to a certain extent. But shops on small islands can be very basic, with limited opening hours. You may want to update yourself once you arrive at Ishinomaki City. Meanwhile, I found the website below through quick Googling:

Just in case, I'd bring some non-perishable food with you regardless.

I have stayed on the island before at the manga hotel, and the food options are very limited. There is a couple of tiny cafes that serve some food, but the hours are irregular and they close early. At the manga hotel there is a small amount of food for purchase, but it is mostly snacks and cup noodles. I would recommend just buying food in Ishinomaki before you get on the ferry. The hotel also has a rice cooker in the cabins which is very useful. Hope this helps!
