Mt Fuji and vicinity in mid April

Hi, am coming to Mt Fuji area from 15 to 19 April. What attire is recommended for women? do I need a winter down jacket? Coming to see cherry blossoms in a rural area. Can I say that this area will be less crowded than the cities like Tokyo and Kyoto?

Any recommendations on beautiful cherry blossom spots would be most appreciated. Coming from Tokyo. Is driving recommended during this time, car parking issues and etc. Thank you in advance.

For what to wear check the weather forecast. Ifd think in the evening a down jacket MIGHT still be needed. In daytime potentially not. Depending on your personal feel well temperature

The famous pagoda with the cherry blossoms will likely be very crowded. Expect several hours of wait until being at the top.

Other areas much less so. But the more accessible the more people.

Car can be good but specially for the pagoda there can be a lot of traffic to even get to the parking lot.
So potentially just seeing the pagoda could take half a day.

Better avoid weekend if possible
