Does anyone know how to edit the colors of your profile? I know how to do it -before- you first sign up, but its a little too late..

And anyone out there with Mixi accounts who'd like to be my friend? :) I'm new there. I'd also love to find some gaijin groups to join, if there are any.

At the moment I'm actually in California, in August I'll be living in Hiroshima. Thats interesting, does the group have a mixi community or website? I'd love to attend a get-together once I'm in Japan. After a while I just need to be around someone who speaks english.

Miko,

How do I prevent strangers from commenting on my 日記?

You can restrict who can view your 日記 to your My Mixi friends (or to friends of friends). If it is open to all, anyone can add a comment.

Mixi,

how exactly to i prevent strangers from commenting. What do I do?

As I wrote in my reply above, you have to restrict your diary to your friends or to their friends (via the 設定変更 page). That way, people you don't know cannot view it or leave comments.
If your diary is open to all, then anyone can comment.

Michael,

Please invite me to mixi, I keep hearing about it but can't join.

Did you not have any luck with the site mentioned twice in this thread?

There is no guarantee that you will get an invite on
mixi through that page. That person probabley gets tons of requests a day but he/she will definately if you send money.
