Hotels-Osaka Beer Fest (Umeda Sky Bldg)?

We're coming down to Osaka from Aomori for the Beer Festival in August... The festival is held in the Umeda Sky Building... There's SO many hotels in Osaka... What hotels are in walking distance to this location OR what ''area'' should we be looking at when using the various hotel finders? Thanks so much! Cheers...

have a look at www.japanhotel.net for ideas and prices. look at the regular price if you have to reserve at the last minute. check also at www.toyoko-inn.com/en I always phone them at the last minute whe ni arive in a town..The Umeda Sky Building is in Kita (north Osaka) but any hotel in the downtown area (Kita, Minami, Tennoji) or even Shin-Osaka, is easily accessible from JR Osaka station (in Kita) by train or subway. JR station is 5-10 minutes walk from the Sky building
