Does anyone know if there has been a change of policy regarding reservation in the Toyoko Inn chain.

I received the following message:

Hakata-guchi Ekimae, Monzen-nakacho Eitaibashi, Asakusa Senzoku and Toyoko Inn Club Hakata-guchi offers the room only for the members from July 23.All hotels will be scheduled to offer the room only for the members from September.

Thank you

The name of some of these inns (club or member) makes it clear that they are new places who give priority to members or may even be for members only. but none of the other Toyoko inns in Hakata, for example, mention such a restriction. Most likely Toyoko noticed that they had enough members every night in all the Toyoko inns in Hakata--for example-- to fill up one hotel, so they built a new one right by the station.
(I have Toyoko inn site as a favorite and check it regularly)

This is the message from the "Toyoko inn Hakata club" own site: For our dear toyoko-inn members who say that the hotels inns are fully booked and that they can not make any bookings, we have heard your voices and have prepared one just for you!

Toyoko Inn Club"
obviously this means that these " Toyoko clubs" give priority to members, and that the other ones are still open to all tourists.
