living expenses and utilities. 2007/8/3 08:59
When I went to japan last month I spent 4 nights at the Okura and 5 nights at the Hilton. This was a basic trip to get a feel for what a little bit of Tokyo is like. In October I will be going on a school sponsored trip to Japan to study at TI Tech for 6 months. the Catch 22 is that they only pay for the tuition and ticket. When I was in japan I tried to figure out where I could stay and how much is the average cost of living. I did find a couple of places that offer foreign student discounts and a couple of what looked liked group furnished town houses.

What I really need to figure out is in average what I'll be paying for either a small studio style apartment or staying in one of these gaijin townhouses.

-rent
-electricity
-water
-heat
-Broadband ISP

food I have a pretty standard idea for because I did spend my time getting a feel for the markets down there and how to manage food and purchasing hours for those oh so sweet discounts before closing.

pretty much those costs would give me a better idea in looking for salary (im pretty confident I can find a job before hand I have two Certifications from Cisco systems (A+/A+1 & CCNA Networking)

Thanks in advance.

There are dozens apon dozens of threads that cover everything from the cost of living( ie food) electicity, utlilities and rent, I highly suggest using the search function.
