What if you are moving to japan.. 2007/8/3 10:27
IF you are moving to japan with your family, how do people usually enroll into high school?

Sometimes it varies from city to city and ward to ward, but generally speaking.

First they would have to be registered living in the city or area. If the student wanted to enter a Japanese high school he/she would have to meet the same entrance regulations (ie entrance examinations etc) and possess Japanese language skills.

International residents who move to Japan with their children that are at an older age would many times opt to have their child attend an International school instead of a regular Japanese high school.
