ば used with な adjective

I know ば cannot be used with nouns and な adjectives, but i can find examples in books using ば with な adjective like below: (もし) 体が じょうぶなら(ば)、わたしは 海で 泳ぎたい です。Can any one help me?

Rajeev,
This is not "ba"; it's "naraba" (meaning "if"). Look up "nara" and "naraba" in any decent textbook or online grammar site.
