Budget trip to Japan - 7days

We plan to go on 16th-23rd Nov. We want to hv the feel the modern and culture things in Japan.
1) Is there Sumo, Geisha & hotbath in Tokyo. If yes, where?
2) Interested to go to Kyoto but find the transportation from Tokyo to Kyoto quite expensive. Can recommend a cheap transportation?
3) We plan to stay in a hostel where there is kitchen so that we can cook simple dish. Any recommendation.

Is there Sumo, Geisha & hotbath in Tokyo. If yes, where?

The November sumo tournament is not held in Tokyo. It is held in Fukuoka from 11 to 25.

There are geisha, but they are not "accessible" to the average traveler. I recommend to visit Kyoto.

If you go to Kyoto, make hotel reservations now! November is the busiest month in Kyoto and hotels often are completely booked out because of the autumn leaf season.
