Typhoon in September? 2007/8/18 12:26
I am thinking of travelling to Fukuoka on the 3rd week of September and understand that it is typhoon season. Is it advisable go then? Thank you.

I think that typhoons should be relatively low on the list of criteria used to plan a trip to Japan. The following criteria are more important:
- when can you go to Japan
- season and weather (apart from typhoons)
- prices of air plan ticket
etc.

In case a typhoon hits Fukuoka, the weather will be bad for about a day and you will have to spend a few hours in your hotel.
