Yen travellers cheques?

Hi
If I buy yen travellers cheques at home, will there be a fee for cashing them (into to yen) at the airport/bank/hotel in Japan?
The currency fluctations are concerning me at the minute as two of us are going for 15 days. So I would like to fix the exchange rate by buying the yen travellers cheques at a rate I know & then budget accordingly - rather than use my ATM card & find the rate has gone through the floor.
Does anyone know if there are commission fees for cashing Japanese yen travellers cheques?
Thanks Maria

If you're staying in a full service hotel, it should be free, otherwise, you'd have to pay 1-2% at a bank.
