Ginza stores 2007/8/27 11:45
I am going to Japan in November. I am planning to go to Ginza just to look at the department stores, but are those department stores' prices more expensive than what you would find elsewhere? Or would there be something affordable for the everyday people too?

doug, as with the case of other nations, prices at department stores are generally higher than those at supermarkets/discount shops. But I would go to department stores to find a nice gift for my family/friends. They sell a wide variety of things, from 100 yen bread to millions yen Tiffany ring.

But I must say department stores in Ginza are not so big as ones in Shinjuku/Ikebukuro.
