Kyoto Sightseeing 2007/8/28 10:26
Hello, I am planning a full day in Kyoto and would like to know if I have put too much in this one day or if I should space it out over 2 days perhaps...
It goes like this:
Starting at Ginkakuji
from Ginkakuji take the Philosopher's Walk to Nanzenji
from Nanzenji make our way to Kiyomizu
from Kiyomizu to Sunjusangendo
from Sanjusangendo to Tofukuji

If someone has an estimate for time that should be spent at each location that would be great as well...
Finally, does anyone know about buses running along Imadegawa st.? do they go to Ginkakuji? are there any buses at all?
Thanks for any help!

It depends on how much time you spend on each temple. Time-wise, it seems possible but as you have to walk a lot (even within a temple compound), I think it better to skip Tofukuji temple.

As for bus routes, there are many buses on Imadegawa street bound for Ginkakuji temple. Scroll down this page and click "download" of Route Map. Though you cannot print it out nicerly with ordinary printers, you can see it on PC screen.

Wow! you answered all of my questions! and I agree about maybe taking Tofukuji off of my plan... I should have time some other day to see it if I want to.
Thanks for your help!
