Feedback for my next Japan trip 2007/9/3 02:54
I am in the process of planning out my next family trip to Japan. In 2006 we spent 9 days in Tokyo (Nikko, Kamakura day trips). In 2007 we spent 13 days in Osaka/Kyoto/Nara/Nagoya. I am planning a trip the first week of June for 2 weeks and wanted to get feedback for destinations within Japan. I was thinking of concentrating my travel in Chubu, going to Gujo Hachiman, Takayama, Kanazawa, 5 lakes however http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e2273.html mentions its the rainy time of year so would I be better off heading north into Hokkaido? Our example of a enjoyable day is experiencing local cusine, and catching one interesting attraction. Any opinions will be appreciated. Thank you

During the rainy season, the weather in Hokkaido, indeed, tends to be a little bit better than on Honshu. If you plan on doing lots of outdoor activities, Hokkaido might be the better destination.

While keeping the weather tendencies in mind, I would still rather give your personal interests the highest priority in determining your itinerary:
