NRT to Oatwood apt in Shinjuku 2007/9/3 16:42
Hi I will visit Tokyo in Nov and staying at Oatwood Apt. Arrive Nartia at 8pm, I'm wondering which is the best mode of transportation to use to reach Oatwood. Will there be heavy traffic at the time of my arrival? Is it safe and easy to allocate the apt if I choose to walk from Shinjuku station? Thanks for you kind advise =)

I assume you mean Oakwood.

I would take an airport limousine bus to either the Hilton Shinjuku or Century Hyatt and walk from there:

I think it is less than 5 minutes on foot from these hotels to the apartment. But it would be about a 20 minute walk from Shinjuku Station.

The closest subway station seems to be Tocho-mae.

Yes....sorry typo error. Is it easy and safe to allocate by walking from the hotel to the Oakwood apt?

If Oakwood... 2007/9/3 18:23
Correct me if I'm wrong but if she is saying about Oakwood Shinjuku, I think it is not near Tocho-mae station. It is on Otakibashi street near West exit of JR Shinjuku station.

If so, take a limo bus to Shinjuku West Exit (not to a specific hotel) and walk from there. It takes about 10-15 min but if you have heavy luggage or with small kids, I suggest you to take a cab to the apartment.

NEX ? 2007/9/3 20:10
Or take NEX to Shinjuku station and take a cab. If you buy NEX & Suica package, your NEX fare is practically 1/2 the price and a 1000 yen cab ride is worth as you don't have to drag your suitcase around.

Oakwood Shinjuku 2007/9/3 23:16
I stayed at Oakwood Shinjuku a few months ago ( very nice apartment ). It is about 10 minutes walk ( + 20 minutes if you get lost) from the Shinjuku station. I recommend a taxi if you have heavy luggage.
