Traveling around Hokkaido in March

We originally planning to go in early Feb for the snow festival but got push back to mid or late March for various reasons. I would like to know is March still a good time to travel around between Sapporo to Lake Toya and maybe all the way to down to Hakodate. Is the snow going to stop me from visiting different places and attractions.

The weather in March tends to be a little bit sunnier than in February. But most of Hokkaido will still be covered in snow. You will be able to ski and do other winter sports. And enjoy hot springs. Hiking and walking opportunities will be limited.
