Bringing CD's to Japan 2007/9/10 08:31
Hello -- I heard that Japanese airport customs officers are very strict especially at KIX. I am planning to bring about 300 to 400 CD's with me. They are mostly CDR's in rolls of 100 each. I have some other commercial CD's also. What will their reaction be? Will they confiscate my CD's or will I have to pay tax? I don't want to make any trouble. Is it better if I come to Fukuoka or Nagoya airport instead of KIX or Narita? Thank you -- Brian W.

300 - 400 cds is a lot of cds, any customs officer in any country might want to wonder whats it all about. What exactly is on these cds? or are they just blank? If they are burnt with copyrighted items or infringe on copyrights on them then that might be a problem.
