osaka or tokyo?

got a job starting in jan with geos and put down tokyo as my first choice, but osaka looks kinda cool as well and is also close to kyoto which would be cool to visit regularly, which do you guys prefer and why

This is a highly difficult question to answer, its almost like asking whats better oranges or apples.

Ifyou like its proximity to Kyoto, then you have a lot ofhistoric areas such as Nara, close by too, and other cosmopolitan cities such as Kobe near Osaka.

I have a soft spot for Osaka but Tokyo is close to cities with lots of historical sites, like Kamakura , Nikko, even Narita, a place that few tourists bother to visit.
So really it is up to you!. do a lot of reading and check lots of big photos at:
