Accommodation Help - Chubu Region 2007/9/13 00:27
Hello everyone.

I'm looking into booking accommodations for my wife and I for our two-week trip to Japan in November. I've had difficulties, however, finding accommodations for:

- Matsumoto (1 night)
- Shogosi in Noto-Hanto (1 night)
- Kanazawa (2 nights)

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Cheers.

Price Range 2007/9/13 23:52
Would prefer to keep it between 10000 and 25000 Yen per night, depending on the amneties and whether meals are included.

Tokyu Inn 2007/9/14 00:35
We stayed at the Matsumoto Tokyu Inn in May and found it quite satisfactory. It was reasonable, clean, and very close to the station. Had a decent "viking" also.

. . . to Japanhotel.net, I've recently started using them if I have no luck with JTB (as they are one of the few online sites that work). What's good about them is you get a live person responding and they will find alternative bookings.

They were able to find me a hard-to-get room in Towada Lake in peak autumn season, albeit smoking but deodorized. Getting ANY room on a Japanese holiday weekend at that time of the year is an achievement!

accomodation & hotelnet 2007/9/14 13:00
I have used Japanhotel.net twice and found them to be responsive and my arrangements worked out fine. I'd use them again.
In Matsumoto, you could also consider nearby Utsukushigahara and Asama onsens. They are very close & Matsumoto is accessible by bus.
