How long is a few months?
What is your nationality.
If it is one that requires a student visa, then you are out of luck for the end of this year because visa process for the vast majority of schools are only taking spring 2008 applications.

Not to mention the school semester has already started for the final part of the year.

Another item is money.
If that is $5000 USD, then you have to factor in rent, food, transportation, other items, not to mention paying for the school and class (which would take a large portion of the budget), also again, if you require a student visa, Immigration would like to see at least 10,000usd for 6months, and about 20,000usd for a year.
