New to Japan travel, need advice

Hi everyone,
me and my buddy are traveling to Japan in November for vacation for 2 weeks. I'm looking for great places or events to go to prior to going there so i can schedule arrangements. Anyone have any great suggestions?
me and my partner, we're both young (24 age), and we're looking to party and have fun, check some great tourists attractions, sumo wrestling maybe, we love anime a lot, that's our biggest thing.
if anyone has any great suggestions, please let me know. me and my bud, we're trying to research as much as we can right now, and i'm willing to listen to what anyone has to say.

I recommend to spend at least a week in Tokyo. Then maybe make a side trip to distant Fukuoka, where a sumo tournament is held from November 11-25.
