hair dryers in ryokans

We are traveling quite a bit around Honshu and Shikoku. We are staying mostly as ryokans. Do ryokans generally have hair dryers or should we bring our own with an adapter?

Just like with hotels, it depends on the quality of the ryokan. Good ones will provide dryers on the room or the common bath room, cheaper ones will probably not.
