Your Top 3 must do things ? 2007/9/27 16:18
Our first trip to Japan will be next March, im still in the early stages of planning out what to do/see/visit etc.
If you had to pick 3 things in each of the following locations that you thought were must do's what would they be.
Tokyo
Osaka
Kyoto
include anything you want, day trips, things to see, places to eat/drink, shops, areas to walk around, parks etc etc, no exclusions.

For Tokyo...

1. Spend some timebin the colourful weirdness that is Akihabara.

2. Walk in my fave park, Shinjuku Gyoen.

3. Visit Ueno park, it has a host of great museums and galleries within it.

what to do 2007/9/28 03:18
I second Albert with a few changes
Kyoto:
1. Fushimi-Inari Taisha
2. Kiyomizu-dera and its surrounding historical-touristic district
3. Nishiki Market in the morning and the other adjacents arcades

Osaka:
1. Bunraku
2. Umeda sky building
3. kita giant underground malls : Hankyu san ban gai, Whity, Diamor (all connected)
Takarazuka is close to kobe by the way and they do not play all the time so it is a hit and miss

Tokyo:
1. Kabuki in Ginza
2. Walking from Meiji-jingu shrine through Harajuku
3. Ameyoko in Ueno (then visit Ueno Park for the shrines, museums etc.)
