I have had a one yen bill from Japan for 50 years. I wonder if it is a collectors item and the value.

Mike,
As one-yen notes have long been out of general circulation, they will certainly be collectable, but the value depends very much on age and condition. I'm no expert, but a quick glance at what is going on Yahoo Auctions shows that prices in Japan range from around 100 yen for relatively recent notes to around 50,000 yen or more for 19th century notes.
