Travelling from Tokyo to Sapporo 2007/10/7 01:43
I will using Japan railway for the 14 days, but i will like to ask about the weather during the period of 8-17th dec 2007. The period i will be travelling from Tokyo to Sappor, so therefore is I will be expecting snow there. Will the Railway be still operating? If the snow is very heavy, the railway stop operating? My plan will be from Tokyo to hachinohe, Hachinohe to Aomori and finally from Aomori to Sapporo(Night train). Thank you.

Yes. Snow does not influence rail traffic, except in some exceptional cases of very strong snow storms. But it does not happen often, especially not along the Tokyo-Sapporo route, which does not get that much snow in December. It is nothing to worry about.
