I've read that you can bring in 3 bottles of alcohol that are around 760ml each.
Are we allowed to bring in 2280ml (for example 2 1L bottles) worth of alcohol or does it HAVE to be 3 bottles?

Hi I am Japanese working for duty free company. You can bring them 3 bottle for Duty free (no tax at customs). You can also bring them over 3 bottles, however you can pay taxes for each bottle at Japan customs when you enter Japan.
