Osaka-Kyoto sightseeing &transportation

i will arrive in OSAKA and will immediate transfer to Kyoto, what is the most economy tranportation i should get, in order to get me to Kyoto and have a sightseeing tour for 2-3 days. if i could buy a 3 days pass starting from Osaka? what is the recommendation of place to visit.

First you go from KIX airport to Kyoto: either by JR haruka train to Kyoto station or if you stay at New Miyako hotel by direct bus. For transport within Kyoto you can choose between several passes, see Kyoto in this japan-guide.
