hi everyone,
i'm travelling to japan on the 20th of november and leaving on the 8th december, both at kansai airport. i'm wondering, with this itinerary, what is the best value JR pass i can get.
20th november - arrive kansai, staying at Toyoko Inn Tanimachi-4chome 25th november - leave osaka to go to kyoto 30th november - leave kyoto to go to tokyo in tokyo we plan to take day trips to nikko and hakone, and perhaps a couple of days in sapporo 8th december - leave tokyo to go to osaka, depart from kansai.
thanks very much in advance - all these passes are very confusing!

Tokyo-Sapporo is twice the distance Tokyo-Osaka. If you decide to go there, I strongly recommend to fly. The following itinerary with an air pass would be most effective: Osaka/Kyoto - (shinkansen) - Tokyo - (air) - Sapporo - (air) - Osaka About air passes: http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e2364.htmlIf you drop Sapporo, regular tickets would be the most economical solution. Considerably cheaper than a 14 or 21-day Japan Rail Pass. How to travel between Tokyo and Osaka/Kyoto: http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e4006.html
