Chemicals for hair into Japan?

You'll notice me having a lot of questions up lately as I prepare to visit my mom's home country for the first time.
I'm Black, Indian and Japanese (mom--Japanese, dad-blk/indian) but even so it's really hard to maintain my hair and I need perms often, are their any *cheap* hair treatments (DON'T WANT A JAPANESE STRAIGHT PERM) that I can't get in Tokyo. I usually pay $8 dollars for a perm and my friend does it, how can I get it done that way in Japan? Is it ok to bring in things like that to Japan?

I assume you want bring in "home perm" equipment, such as, lotion/cream? Then, I don't think you'll have a problem bringing them in.
